He graduated from Samsun Science High School in 1992 and from the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University in 1997. In 2010, he completed his master’s degree in Financial Economics at Boston University in the USA. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in the Department of Public Finance at Hacettepe University’s Institute of Social Sciences.
In 2000, he was appointed as an Assistant Finance Inspector at the Ministry of Finance Inspection Board, as a Finance Inspector in 2004, and as a Chief Finance Inspector in 2010. During his tenure as a Finance Inspector, he conducted audits, examinations, and investigations within the Ministry of Finance, universities, and various public institutions. Additionally, he performed tax audits for taxpayers operating in various sectors, including banking and finance, construction, automotive, petroleum, and energy.
He participated in international training programs on the taxation of property and financial institutions at the OECD Multilateral Tax Training Centre in Türkiye. He also attended professional training programs on economics, taxation, and finance at the University of Illinois, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago. Moreover, he lectured on Audit Practices, International Auditing Standards, and Taxation of Businesses in the Master’s Program at Okan University.
In 2013, he became a member of the Ankara Chamber of Certified Public Accountants. He was elected to the Unfair Competition Prevention Board for the 24th and 25th terms within the Ankara Chamber of Certified Public Accountants, where he currently serves as a member of the 25th Term Board. He has authored numerous articles published in professional and academic journals. He holds Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor certifications.
