He graduated from the Department of International Relations at Turkish Naval Academy. After serving as Commander on various ships, he work as an administrator and a lecturer of vocational courses simultaneously at Turkish Naval Academy. He undertook managerial roles at Career Planning, Performance Appraisal, Personnel Information Systems, and System Development branches of Turkish Naval Forces. He managed the Navy’s Change Management Project for four years. He completed his master’s degrees in Managerial Sciences at Hacettepe University and in Public Relations and Promotion at Selçuk University and his doctorate degree in Managerial Sciences at Hacettepe University. He has served as a Consultant in the preparation of Human Resources National Standards and National Qualifications within the Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye.
After retiring from the Navy at his own request in 2011, he worked as the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at Akfen Holding Corporation. between 2013 and 2021. During his duty, he was selected as one of Türkiye’s 50 Most Influential HR Managers (CHRO) in 2018 by Fortune Türkiye and DataExpert. Between 2021 and 2023, he hold the positions of “Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Human Resources Foundation” and “Chairman of the National Committee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award-TÜRKİYE concurrently. He also taught in the Human Resources Management Program carried out at TOBB University of Economics and Technology Continuing Education Centre.
He is a Turkish Quality Association (KALDER) Trainer, as well as a Trainer Evaluation Committee Member and Türkiye Excellence Award Assessor. He also served as an Audit Board Member at KALDER in the 2016-2018 and as an Ethics Committee Member in the 2018-2024. After serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Human Management Association Central Anatolia Branch between 2014 and 2017, and as a Member of the Audit Board between 2017 and 2023, he has been still a member of the Senior Advisory Board since 2023.
