She graduated from the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University in 1990. After working for a while at the Ministry of Interior, Research and Planning Unit, she started working as an Assistant Specialist at the Capital Markets Board, Corporate Finance Department in 1994, and was appointed as a Specialist in 1997.
Between 1997-January 2024, she held positions as Specialist, Chief Specialist, and Deputy Head of Department at the Capital Markets Board, Corporate Finance Department, and Research Department. She has worked on the issuance and public offering of capital market instruments (shares, debt instruments, asset-backed securities, warrants, green/sustainable bonds/lease certificates, etc.), initial public offerings, disclosure to the public, monitoring and control of information disclosed by corporations to the public; examination of public disclosure documents, especially prospectuses, determination of standards related to these documents, regulations on new capital market instruments, significant transactions of publicly traded companies, mergers, splits and acquisitions, share buybacks, tender offers, withdrawal rights, corporate governance, sustainable finance issues, and has also participated in studies on prospectuses, material events disclosures, and public disclosure matters within the scope of compliance with European Union regulations of the Capital Markets Law.
She completed her master’s degrees in Economics at Ankara University in 2004 and in Financial Economics from Boston University in 2011. She is a member of Ankara Chamber of Certified Public Accountants.
